Gentle support for when life feels overwhelming—spiritually, mentally, and physically

Welcome

Hi, I’m Terri. I’m sitting with a hot cup of tea and my Bernedoodle, Abigail, curled at my feet. The sky is cloudy outside, but the fire beside me is warm — and I’m so glad you’re here.

Smiling woman in blue and black jacket, wearing blue earrings and necklaces. Plain background, confident expression.

This blog is a place for encouragement, education, and practical tools centered on three life - saving elements: Holding on to God in the storm, understanding the brain, and regulating the nervous system.

These became the anchors of my own healing journey — one that began while supporting a family member with undiagnosed brain trauma and later included my own health decline from the toll it took.

For nine long years, I searched for answers. Many doors closed. My prayers grew desperate. I tightened my grip on God, holding fast to the promise He whispers in

Isaiah 30:21, “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’”

Eventually, He led me to the right professionals, including Amen Clinics, where I finally received clarity about brain injury and its effects. That understanding changed everything. I began learning how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system — and how intentional support, somatic work, and targeted care can restore balance.

The cost of those years showed up in my own body: exhaustion, brain fog, PTSD, and nervous system dysregulation. But step by step, I learned to listen to my body, regulate my nervous system, and rebuild strength.I remember the first deep sigh of relief — as if I had been holding my breath for years.

Healing Foundations for a regulated nervous system

God is still guiding. The brain can heal. The nervous system can return to calm.

Pause for a moment noticing your breath.

A spontaneous sigh, a deeper inhale, a softening in your chest — these are signs your nervous system is beginning to feel safe again. Awareness is the first step toward regulation and healing.

This space is where I share what I’ve learned — offering support for nervous system regulation, PTSD recovery, brain health challenges, brain fog, and somatic healing, all while learning how to hold onto God in the storm. My hope is that you can find steadiness, clarity, and hope in your own journey.

I’m so glad you joined me. Abigail and I hope you’ll come back soon.
